East Coast Motor Group boss, Tim Sleigh, continues the Sleigh family connection with the Scottish automotive industry and motor sports. Tim's grandfather, William Lowrie Sleigh co-founded Rossleigh LTD in 1889 a name that, even now in the 21st century, is synonymous with quality car sales and servicing. Tim's father, Tom Sleigh, competed in Circuit Racing against the likes of Jackie Stewart, before moving to Hill climbing: winning the Scottish Roadcar Championship in 1969.
Following on his competitive success on 2 wheels, in the Scottish 2008 Enduro Championship (runner-up),Tim has moved on to 4 wheels to compete in the Scottish XR2 Championship.
Tim's brother, David Sleigh, was the 2008 Scottish XR2 Champion, and in 2010 continues to compete in the Scottish Mini Cooper Championships.
Both Tim and David have joined forces to compete in their respective Scottish motor racing championships under the Team Sleigh Racing banner. |
